    furniture and bed clothing. On entering the grooms house the grooms mother would meet the bride at the door and present her with the churn-dash and tongs, a sign that the old lady was accepting her as the new mistress of the place. This part of it is known as the dragging home.
    Some of the neighbouring boys who would not be asked would supply themselves with bottle horns and boo the couple who would get married.
