    Father Martins hall,
where songs were sang in the gaelic tongue by the youngsters one and all,
my heart was filled with rapture and I said once more.
    Chorus.
    (3)
I thought I was on the old fort and walking around the ring, when the scores came marching up and shook me by the hand. Saying how is our exiled friends out there, the boys from Ballytrain. Oh would that they were here tonight to sing the old refrain.
    Chorus.
So now the concert is commenced and I hope that everyone will like the Robert Emmett play the farce, the dance and song.
I wish you all a bright new year, hope soon to meet again, so just before we leave tonight we’ll sing the old refrain.
    Chorus.
