    About a Sinn Fein meeting

    Twas held upon St. Marys ground.
    On Sunday afternoon.
    For to organise a legal branch
    And play a party tune.

    Both young and old they did attend.
    Their courage to display.
    Like wise the men of Monaghan.
    They came without delay.
    With bands and banner's floating.
