  1. Some of games played by boys are as follows: foot-ball, hand ball, hurling, hide and seek. The girls play camogie, skipping, tig, and rounders. On the 1st day of April we amuse ourselves by making a fool of everybody. On Ash Wednesday we pin ash bags (pieces of paper) on our companions.
In Autumn we gathering blackberries and nuts and sloes. In Winter we go sliding and snow balling and we make snow men and then we go round it singing and shouting. On cold Winter nights we sit round the fire reading a story-book or telling a nice story.
