    Old Crafts
a comb and a sharp knife. A stappler was a flat iron about eighteen inches long with a v point at one end and a horizontal handle fixed to the other end. The needle was from three to hour feet long - made like a sewing needle, but with an egg shaped handle. The sharp knife was used for cutting of and making the thatch even, the comb was used for combing of the cut thatch.
