- There was a saw mill in a field of Pat McSheanes. One man would stand down in a big hole in the ground and pull the saw down and another would stand up on the ground and pull up the saw. The people had tin boxes (things) for sending butter to town. One of these was six inches at the bottom and fourteen inches at the top. When they sent one to town they would leave that tin in town and take another home.
Now adays we do the same with egg boxes.- Collector
