    repairs them. None of the forge - work is done in the open air. There is no local belief with regards to forge - water or to sparks which fly from the red - hot iron. The blacksmiths around this district never had any special privileges. It is not believed that the smiths had any special powers either. The forge in Drum never figured in any historical or national event.
