- A man named William O'Neill of Cromane told me the following story last night.
He said that it happened about fifty years ago.
One day as he was ploughing in his own farm, night fell before he could finish the field.
He dreamt that night that there was some money in this piece which was left over.
He woke up early the following morning and went to dig with his spade.
After digging for some time he found a purse which contained a half crown, a penny and a packet of needles.
He sold the half crown as a souvenir and got five shillings for it.
He dreamt again a week after, that there was some money in the same place.
He went and found another half crown there.- Collector
