"Stop" said Glug, "if you do that again I will cut your head off." The bee kept on stinging and the mouse kept on biting. The two giants jumped out of bed, got their axes and struck one another at the same time. They both fell dead. Then Sean went to the king for his reward.
The king gave Sean a farm, the mouse ten ears of corn a day as long as he lived and the bee a thimbleful of honey as long as he lived. They all lived happily with the old widow in the new house at the foot of the hill.
