  1. A woman who went to Mass every morning put a pebble in a box so that she would know the number of Masses she had attended in years to come. It was mostly talking and looking for news she was when she went to Mass. After a long time she went to the box to count the pebbles and to her surprise there was only one pebble in the box, as she had heard only one Mass with the proper dispositions.
