- At present the Travelling folk are not as plentiful as before the Great War. Many of them joined the British army and were killed fighting in France.McInerneys usually call to my district. Those people earn money by pulling beet. They take on big fields of beet from farmers and pull and crown it on task. They also have big pensions from the English army. These people also deal in asses and ponies. The woman of this family go from house to house selling little flowers and holy pictures.
