  1. Long ago people were married in the bride's house. The man went home on horseback but the bride remained in her own house for a month. When he went for her she put down a big pot of water and let it boil. Then she put four bottles of whiskey into it to make punch for the night. They then drank the punch and had a dance. In the morning both of them went home on horseback.
The lucky and unluck days are
    Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
And Saturday no luck at all.
Marry in brown won't live in town,
Marry in green sure to be seen,
Marry in blue sure to be true.
Marry in black wish yourself back.
