- A pan of gold is supposed to be hidden in the North Western point of Killyvain. No attempts have been made to unearth it. Long ago there were no main roads but there was a small road part of which is now a lane. The mail coach used to travel along this road on its way to Dublin. There was a great robber at this time and it is said that he robbed the Mail Coach and hid the gold in the North Western point of Killyvain. No strange lights have been seen where the gold is supposed to be hidden or no supernatural guardians are known to guard the treasure.
