    Ar mhuinntir a tighe seo thiar.
    An té gur mhór leis a n-ithimíd
    'S gur beag leis a ndeinimíd,
    Nár bheir lá le Muire air
    Ach a thug a sgóladh,
    'S a chróthar ag a leabaidh,
    Agus nár fhaigh sé trócaire
    Beo ná marbh.
