An Irish Prayer to our Lady
O glorious Virgin, Mother of God blessed among all the nations, worthy of praise and the greatest of praise, intercede for me with Thy beloved Son. O honoured Lady, Mother of the King of Angels and Archangels.
Assist me and deliver me from every difficulty and danger.
    Night Prayer
May the will of God be done by us,
May the death of the Saints be won by us
And the light of the Kingdom gegun in us
May Jesus, the Child be beside my bed
May the Lamb of Mercy, uplift my head
May the Virgin Mary her brightness
    shed
And Michael be steward of my soul.
Thine own forget Thee, O loving wounded heart
Thou are not loved, yet what a God thou art,
Hearts are still cold or filled with earthly joys
    That love thee not.
