    these vacated the place and in the time of our own evil trouble it was riddled with bullets and the hospital was also burned to the ground, so that the whole place was at the mercy of every passer by, and the weeds were almost growing in the doors. Some years ago, it was taken over for a Technical School for grown up boys and girls who were taught needlework, cooking and carpeting as well as other lessons which were held in the early part of the day, but this class only lasted for a short time so it had to be repaired for the new firm who took it over named Spence and Docker who up to the present day are carrying on the manufacture of paint which is turning out very successfully.
