- I know three graveyards in the district of Celbridge. They are Donaghcomper, Union Lane, and Tea Lane. Donaghcomper is situated in the townland of Donaghcomper. Union Lane graveyard is situated in the townland of Castletown. Tea Lane graveyard is situated in the townland of the Abbey.
All these are surrounded by stone walls erected by the County Council. Most of the graveyards are thickly planted with Yew trees but in some of them there are Beech, Ash, and other native trees. All these are irregularly shaped, and are sloping toward adjoining ditches to facilitate drainage. The surface of these is(continues on next page)- Collector
