    Mr. Dunphy was in Dempseys yard getting cattle for the market. He saw Mrs Dempsey standing at the pump and fairies dancing round her.
    Another story I heard is as follows:
    One night a man named Billy Daly was coming home from playing cards in Killadoon. As he was a few yards from the white gates leading to the road he seemed to lose his way.
