    you what I haven't" said the Leprachaun, "but if you let me go I'll give you any three wishes you like"
    "Will I be sure to get the wishes?"
    "Oh you can trust me for that"
    "Well if you're fooling me 'twill be a bad day for you if I get me eye on you again"
    "Before you go" says Paddy "tell me can I give one of the wishes to my mother: 'twas she told me about you, and she deserves one wish at laish"
    I can't tell you that now. I must ask the Queen. I'll be here at this very spot tomorrow evening and I'll tell you"
    Paddy told the whole story to his mother, and all she said was "Be sure and keep your eye on the little man while you're talking to him"
    Right enough the Leprachaun was waiting for Paddy the next evening. "The three wishes are all right" says he "and you can give one to your mother; but take care and dont be expecting more than two for yourself then"
    Paddy was glad to have the good
