- (continued from previous page)The cuckoo migrates. She goes off to a warmer country when the weather is getting cold. She does not build any nest, but lays her eggs in another bird's nest.
The magpie does not migrate. She stays here the whole year (a)round. She builds her nest in a big tree. The magpie is a very timid bird.

The following are a list of many birds which live in this locality. The wren is the smallest bird that I know. It lives mostly in an old ivied bush or tree or in an old crumbling wall. It makes its nest of moss lined with feathers, in a wall or bush. It is very difficult to see the nest for it is only a bit of moss with a hole in it.The robins nest may be found in a mossy bank.
