Weather Lore
When the cat has her back to the fire it is a sign of rain.
When there is a ring round the moon it is a sign of rain.
When the smoke goes straight from the chimney it is a sign of rain.
When snow remains on the mountains it is a sign that more snow will come to bring that snow away.
When the stars are glittering it is a sign of frost.
When the fog goes towards the north it is a sign of bad weather.
When the fog goes towards the south it is a sign of good weather.
