    destroyed in Christmas night 1648 by Sir Fredrick Hamilton ad his soldiers.
    it is said that two Catholic girls named Fords from Corry came and told the nuns of the terrible disaster that was awaiting them.
    On their return journey sad to say they were murdered in Fawcett's Grove near pence Harbour.
    The poor nuns were unable to seek refuge until Sir Fredrick Hamilton and his soldiers annihilated the whole community. Nothing remains to day except the ruins which are over grown with ivy and moss.
