    I
In the year of Our Lord 1831,
    Being on Good Friday morning
At the rising of the sun.
    Our neighbours to the market
    Went flocking to the shore
    But fourteen of that number
    Returned here no more.
    II
Between Ross Bug and Curry Point
'Tis here we raised our sail.
The wind it blew all from the north
And we had a pleasant gale
    We sailed away most cheerfully
Which caused us for to weep
    But that evening near Strabragan
    We perished on the deep.
    III
    At four o'clock that evening
    We all prepared to go.
Johny at the helm, and the other three to row.
There was Owen and Terence Kerrigan.
