  1. 1 As I lie down on my right side,
I pray to God to be my guide,
If any evil comes near me,
Christ Jesus come and waken me.
2 There are four corners on my bed,
There are four angels at its stead.
    Mathew Mark Luke and John,
God bless the bed that I lie on.
This prayer is to be said each night on lying down to sleep

2 As Christ was walking one day alone
He met Saint Peter sitting on a marble stone
What ailest thou Peter and why dost thou quake,

Whosoever shall say this prayer for my sake,
Shall never again be troubled by the toothache,
This prayer is a sure cure for tooth
