    There are four graveyards in our barony but the most important of them is Kilronan, within whose walls lie interred the remains of O'Carolan the last of the Irish bards.

    There are four graveyards in our barony but the most important of them is Kilronan, within whose walls lie interred the remains of O'Carolan the last of the Irish bards. It is situated about two and a half miles from the village of Ballyfarnan and lies under the shadow of Kilronan Castle - that grand old fortress of the Kingston Earls, which has long been their home, but is now deserted save only for the care-taker Cruikshanks who still lives there.
    On the opposite side of the road is situated Lasar Well which is visited every year by hundreds of pilgrims from miles around. This well was blessed by St. Lasar hundreds of years ago; and no matter how dry the weather is in
