    Colonel King Harman was the local landlord of Boyle, fifty years ago.

    lies about them. The King Harman family got possession of their land in the year sixteen hundred and eight, and have a good amount of it to this day.
    About fifty years ago when the King Harman family were landlords over nearly all Roscommon a lot of strange incidents took place and this is one of them. -:
    There was a Land League meeting in Gurteen during the time of Parnell. The Chairman of the meeting invited Colonel King Harman over to stand on the platform with him. In the meantime Colonel Robinson, his agent, write a letter to him, telling him that if he went over to the meeting he would be shot. Colonel King Harman had his horses dressed in green, ready for the meeting
