    The local people usually marry in Shrove Tide. It is said that it is not right to marry in May for if you marry in May you'll rue the day. There are matches made locally. I know a man that heard of a girl miles away from him and the match was settled and the bargain was made that she must have one hundred pounds sterling before she would marry him. She had it, and they were married.
    The customs observed on wedding days are:- After people have taken their dinner or breakfast in the hotel, they go home and some go home and have their wedding
