a storm we see sheep flocking together. It is a sign of rain if we see blue blazes in the fire. If we see smoke going up straight out of a chimney it is the sign of fine weather. If we see a cat sitting beside the fire washing his face it is the sign of rain. Salt getting damp is the sign of rain.

Heathfield.
Heathfield is a small townland situated near Castleplunkett. It was a large field, containing several acres of land. There was heath growing in it one time. There is turf being cut in one end of it now, near a place called Emlagh.
