- (continued from previous page)in the ground. When the rabbit is running out of the burrow his foot gets caught in the loop and he cannot leave it. When he is trying to leave it the loop gets tighter on his foot. The snare is generally set at night.
There are certain kinds of traps for catching wild fowl. Another way for catching rabbits is the ferret. He is a wicked little animal and he kills the rabbit within the burrow and brings him out.- Informant
