    it got its name, from a castle. Long ago, when the Danes, lived in Ireland, there was in one Castlequarter, a Dane, and there he died. The Landlord of the district lived in Lowberry. His name was Lynch, he was a very rich man, and a good Catholic, He built a church and Monastery school, in Granlahan. He built the school, for the education of the boys of the neighbourhood.
