    home with her parents, and at the end of such time, the best-man went to the bride's home and brought her to her husband's home for life. When they arrived there, another feast was held. This was called the "Hauling Home".
    Strawboys or "bandbeggars", as they were called, went to the house during the festivities and danced with the bride and other guests. Such marriages were only kinds of fairs, where the highest bidder bought. Nowadays the pair who are to be married, know each other well and consent to be married. Of course, the bride is given a certain amount of money, and after the marriage the bride and bridegroom go on a honeymoon to some place, such as a seaside resort.
