    which they gathered in a "shubbery" near by. This "shubbery" is a wood running along a hill over the river. It was full of Larch trees in these days and the trees were all cut down and the timber was conveyed by boat along the river to Waterford. It was replanted later. Near this house there is an opening or Hole called "The Black Hole" It is a sort of Tunnel and goes along under the land It is supposed to end in Miltown, but nobody ever attempted to go through it.
    There is the Quarry Road leading to a Quarry in Ballinanerla. The Lough Road is a high road leading off the main Waterford Road, overlooking the Lough or Mill Pond.
    The Granny Knock Road leads to Aglish and out on the main road at Rathkieran near Mooncoin in Co Kilkenny. There is an old cross roads called "Bothar Rua" on the road and it is told that the Banshee sat there at night combing her hair. Where this road branches off the the main Waterford Road the cross road is called Súgach's Cross.
