    the Alder.
    For Backache they used to grind burgundy melt black pitch, mix them together, place the mixture on a cloth and put it to the back.
    For Ringworm they used to spat on the ashes of their pipe and rub it to the Ringworm.
    For Measles, they used to boil sheeps dung and milk, and they used to drink it.
    For warts they used to rub them with water out of a stone, they used to put their fasting spat on them also.
    For Fluke they used to boil the male fern and give it to the sheep to drink.
    Some men are able to stop blood by the following prayer.
    Jesus born in a stable at Bethlehem.
    Baptised in the water Jordan,
    He that stops the water stop the blood. Amen.
    Some people cure a wart by rubbing a snail to it, and then leave it on a tree, and as it decays the wart is cured
    A cure for Rheumatism, to sting where the Rheumatism is with a nettle
    A cure for the treas Luacra is to cut a trianglar
