    The 7th successive son in a family is said to have a cure for some ailment or other.

    (continued from previous page)
    To cure "the wild fire"
    (A rash which comes on the body in patches)
    rub with the blood of
    (a) a black cat that hasn't a white rib of hair in it, or
    (b) the blood of any person whose surname is Cahill. (Cahills blood), or
    (c) The blood of a person whose parents had the same surname. e.g. Mrs. Walsh (maiden name Walsh) and Mr. Walsh. etc.
    To stop "Wild Fire" from spreading make a ring around it with any of the three different bloods mentioned in the above.
    Cure for sore throat
    Before going to bed heat a hand-ful of salt & then place it in the sock wornthat day on the left foot. On getting into bed fasten sock around the neck and keep it there till morning when the sore-throat will be completely cured.
