    That evening there was a scene at Cotterstown. The victor's five pounds was spent on everything required for a social gathering. Bonfires blazed and the boys and girls danced to their heart's delight. One of the boys invoked the music and sang the following:-

    The mighty Giant
    And put his bones
    Well out of joint
    He asked for mercy
    Which we gave,
