when in danger of shipwreck, involed the help of st. Fiachra and on his safe ruturn home, presented a large silver procession cross to Graigue Church. It is still in use. It bears the following inscription. "The gift of James Casey to the Chapel of Graig 1775". It is curious to note that nobody from the locality would think of going on a sea journey without a bottle of water from St Fiachra's Well, as a peservation against shipwreck.
