We are told that for six generations the murderer's descendants were panting like the horse was when he ran back to the priests house. There is only one cross-road on the Borris Road. It is called Tyroe Cross. It is so called becuase the district around there is called Tyroe. Michael Griffin died very near this cross. There is a Cross made of white stones to mark the place where he died.
