- (continued from previous page)The people used have big iron griddle and used make a big cake as big as a car wheel and this used last a week if the family was small but they had to make it twice a week if the family was big. The griddle used be left by the side of the fire and the cake baked there. It was turned as it was done. There is something put into the bread called "fairies dough". This dough made of flour and water to which no salt is used. It was kept in a bucket near the fire.
