    The following poem is in relation to a Holy Well of St. Fiachra near Ullard in this parish, and the answer of the Saint to the cry of the distressed people for his help. (W.D. Connor. Prim Teacher)

    You alla know the time
    When they used to be driving
    The cows and the cattle
    For the tithes I am sure
    You never saw anyting
    Would grieve a poor widow
    To see the one little pig
    Going away from her door.
