Kilns - There are three lime kilns on our farm one of them is situated with a sand pit behind and a quarry in front. It is nearly all broken down now. The top part is still there but the bottom where the lime used to come out is all broken down. It was used by the Blanchfields about a hundred years ago. They used to sell the lime and keep some for them selves because every one used to spread lime over the fields that time.
