    This old custom is still carried out in Mayo, Conemara, and west Kerry.
    The only custom now living in this Parish is the bhrideóg. Groups of young men gather at night fall and like bucaillí án Dreoílín they dress in all manner of disguise. They procure musical instruments, mouth organs, tin whistles, deuce harps, and an accordeon. They go from house to house dancing and playing music. They sometimes though not here demands or expects money from the householder. This brought discredit on an otherwise innocent custom.
