Any stick with a crook on it was used - the camán as now used is a development of the old crooked stick. The stick was shaped so [Drawing - "L"] or so LThen came hurling in a field from corner to corner - no posts for goals as yet. The side getting in the ball offenest to the opposite corner won the game.
The field was regulated so[Drawing] 1 and 2 being the corners.Football was not so popular here at all but was played somewhat in the same way without sticks of course.- Informant
