    Three and sixpence is the selling price
    It's the best that I can do
    It's what I'm charging everyone
    And I want no more from you.
    A 'half - a - crown' is all I'll give
    And I know it's worth no more
    And if you do not take it
    I'll get it at next door.

    A man appeared upon the scene
    He said "You must divide"
    Three shillings is the selling price
    Let you all be satisfied.
    "I can't accept your offer ma'am
    At that I cannot sell
    I'll show you to another piece
    That might suit you full as well.

    Well you can show that other piece
    To the next one that comes in
    For when I leave your premises
    "I'll go straight to Barney Quinn."
