    This large sum of money was very tempting and a man in the locality informed the authorities, that he was present and knew the men who did it. This man was later known as "Terry the Stag".
    On this man's false information twenty young men were arrested and lodged in prison, and detained for two years, until an act of Parliament was passed making it an offence to raise a dead body out of the grave.
    I may here mention that the reason for which this man was hung to the tree was the result of a row sometime previous. A man in the neighbourhood turned to be a Catholic and when he died, his funeral was passing the "Grey stone". This is a large stone standing along-side the (the) County road, midway between Ture Chapel, and Comber
