    each capable of producing a new nettle.
    Another weed which gives a lot of trouble is what we call the Red Shank from the red appearance of the Stalk. This is a soft sort of plant and is however very easily pulled when weeding time comes.
    There is another weed which people have called Chicken Weed and which flourishes well in rich or moory soil but which people make use of. They gather this Chicken Weed chop it up finely and scald it with what we call "Brahans" that is oat-meal or Indian Meal porridge made very thin.
