    days, to the eye. The Sign of the Cross should be made with the thorns. This is a certain cure for a stye.
    Teethaches:- a drop of whiskey to be poured on the aching tooth. Iodine is also good.
    Eyes:- St. patricks Well, on Capt. DeBurgh's land, contains water, - which cures eyes.
    Clear skin:- boiled nettles are good for making a person's skin clear.
    Concnerning growth.:- if a person steps over another person the latter will not grow any bigger.
    If a person takes a branch of an elder tree into his house he will not grow any more.
    It is said that whatever size a person is at 21 yrs. of age, he will be the same for ever.
    If a person goes under the arms of another, the former will cease to grow, unless he returns under the arm.
