- (continued from previous page)In New-Bridge there is a place called Moor-field. In this place there is a big unhabited house. Every day an invisible person can be heard putting the knives and forks on a table, and poking the fire in the range.
- After the Civil War in 1922 prisoners were held at the back of the Naas Hospital. There was also a place for lunatics, who were afterwards brought to Carlow.
One night, my father and another man, Mr. Perkins, had charge of the prisoners. When dusk fell, the officer-in-charge locked all the doors. My father and his friend were also locked in.
