If he, or, she, as the case may be. fails to catch the ball, he is "d" If the same player fails to catch the ball six times, he is the donkey. The first time the player misses the ball he is "d" and the second time he fails to catch it he is "o" and so on until he or she earns all the letters d-o-n-k-e-y.
