- The Pigeon House is an octagonal building and is built near the right bank of the Tully River nearly opposite Nurney Castle. It is built on a hillock which contains the remains of a still older building. The roof of the Pigeon House was blown off in the big wind of 1839. There is no similar Pigeon House in Ireland but there are similar ones in France
