Long ago the smiths used to make ploughs and harrows and spades and shovels. They dont make them now but they mend them. They make the sock of the plough with a piece of iron The iron is put in the fire and when it is red the smith takes it out and fits it into the plough.
In olden times the ploughs were made of iron but they are made of steel and other materials now. The people used wooden ploughs mostly in olden times
